On January 22, Prince-Abbot Giovanni Luca of Sabourg was officially received by His Excellency Amadou Oury BAH, Prime Minister and Head of Government of Guinea Conakry.
The purpose of the meeting was to establish official relations between the two states on various levels in order to set up bilateral international cooperation.
The Prince-Abbot expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister H.E. Amadou Oury BAH for the important meeting that took place in Conakry: “There was a strong understanding on both sides, which will certainly enable the implementation of synergistic and relevant projects with Guinea, with the support of the Principality of Sabourg.”
The Prince of Sabourg was then received by the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, Minister Mohamed Lamine Sy Savanè. He then met with the Minister of Urban Planning and Land Use, Mory Conde, and finally with the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Mr. Ismael Nabe.
The Prime Minister was decorated as Grand Officer of the Order of the Crown by Prince Jean Luc, and the aforementioned ministers were decorated with the rank of Knight.
The Prince-Abbot paid a courtesy visit to the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Conakry, His Excellency Vincent Coulibaly, and then to the Grand Mosque of Conakry, where he was received by the Council of Imams, who presented the Prince of Sabourg with a copy of the Koran as a sign of religious brotherhood.
The official mission to Guinea Conakry ended with an official visit to the President of the National Transitional Council, H.E. Dr. Dansa Kouoma, and his advisors.
The President of the CNT presented Prince-Abate with a copy of the CNT Constitution, which will be adopted shortly.
