TO LEO XIV: “The Holy Spirit inspired the first appeal to the peoples”

In recent days, Prince Abbot Giovanni Luca of Sabourg sent a letter to the new Pope Leo XIV on behalf of the Principality and all the religious and lay citizens of Sabourg.
The tone of the letter clearly shows the esteem and trust that the Archbishop of Sabourg has for Pope Leo XIV.
The words are precise and unequivocal: “Your first address, which we listened to with great interest and admiration, proved that the Holy Spirit inspired the first appeal to the peoples, declaring the urgent need to take action for peace in the world.”
Furthermore, in the document, the Prince points out the analogy between the cardinal’s coat of arms of Leo XIV and the coat of arms of the Monastic Order of Sabourg: “It is no coincidence that his cardinal’s coat of arms, in blue and white, represents an unequivocal sign of union with the coat of arms of the Principality of Sabourg, the first monastic state of humanity.”
The letter closes with the Prince-Abbot’s willingness to actively collaborate with the Holy Roman Church and all the main institutions involved in the peace process, in order to fulfill the words prophesied in the Holy Gospel of John, encapsulated in the phrase: “Ut Unum Sint,” a paraphrase of “In Illo Uno Unum,” quoted in the coat of arms of the new Pope.
Therefore, a meeting between Pope Leo XIV and the Archbishop of Sabourg concerning world peace could be envisaged in the future.
