On September 28, 2025, the feast day of St. Michael the Archangel, patron saint of Sabourg, was celebrated.
The event began in the morning at the Port of Ventimiglia with the presentation of the e-residence card by the Minister of Communication, followed by a concert by the Abbaziale Gendarmerie Orchestra. Next, the director of the Maritime Division presented the Yacht Club project, which will be officially inaugurated in the summer of 2026.
After the official presentations, His Excellency the Prince-Abbot of Sabourg appointed His Excellency Monsignor Marc Vincent Vattier as Vice President of the Constitutional Court, ending his term as Prime Minister, and Professor Vicenzo Zagari took over as President of the Supreme Court. Senior Councilor Prof. Mario Porrone, former Minister of Education, was appointed interim Prime Minister. H.E. Mons. Andrea de Lucia was appointed Vice President of the Crown Council and handed over the ancient regulations of the Priory of St. Michael to H.E. Rev. Mons Svetoslav Vasilev, assuming the position of Secretary of State Prior of St. Michael. After the institutional appointments, the Prince of Sabourg conferred the honors of the Order of St. Martin and the Valour of the Abbey Gendarmerie.
In the afternoon, at the Chapel of St. Michael in VIcolo degli Staggi in Ventimiglia, the consecrations of the Monastic Order took place: Order of St. Benedict Minor, Order of St. Mary of Magdala. The Grand Commander of the Equestrian Order of St. Martin of the Grand Commendation of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Lieutenant of Kinshasa was also consecrated.
The ceremony concluded with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom.
