In a ceremony marked by solemnity and symbolism, the new President of the Gabonese Republic was sworn in before the country’s highest authorities, a delegation of the Gabonese people, and several African heads of state who came to show their support.
President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema swore to uphold and enforce the Constitution, preserve national unity, and work tirelessly for peace, justice, and development in Gabon. He extended his hand to all the nation’s active forces. He called for “a new era of responsibility, transparency, and collective reconstruction,” while insisting on the need to strengthen regional integration and African cooperation.
